Our Parish was established in 1854 and is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of East Anglia. We do not have a Bishop and are currently awaiting a new appointment.

The Diocese is linked to the Universal Catholic Church which has its headquarters in the Vatican and is headed by Pope Benedict XVI.

The parish was served by Diocesan priests until the Institute of Charity (Rosminians) took over the care of the parishioners in 1984.

The Institute of Charity was founded by Antonio Rosmini (1797-1855).
